What a Hoot!

For Earth Day, our Creative Director, Joyce Lau put together this adorable activity using upcycyled materials you can find around the house. And yes, it's our cheeky way of saying, we all have a wee night owl in our homes.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Magazine pages/Scrap Paper
  • Paper coffee sleeve
  • Black buttons
  • Used plastic bottle caps
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Step 1: To make the ears you will fold one open end of the tube inward, and then fold the other side on top of that.
Step 2: Begin to glue the scrap papers around the toilet tissue roll.
Step 3: Cut the magazine spreads with scallop trim to decorate the little owl's torso.
Step 4: Cut two white circles for the eyes. Stick the black button on the white paper. Then glue them on used plastic bottle caps.
Step 5: Cut 2 oval shapes out from coffee sleeve for the wings. Glue them on both sides of the decorated toilet paper roll and glue the eyes on the owl body.
Voila, You did it!
